Job Description:
I’m reaching out regarding an Engine Control Systems Engineer opportunity in Chillicothe, Illinois. This is a full-time engineering position focused on the design, development, simulation, and validation of engine control strategies for large power systems.
Skills & Experience:
- Engine control systems development
- Dynamic feedback and classical control theory
- MATLAB/Simulink
- GT-Power engine modeling
- Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) simulation and verification
- Vector CANape / CAN data analysis
- MIMO control systems
- Digital signal processing and filter design
- Engine testing and validation
- Embedded systems and logical controls
- Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Experience with gas, diesel, or dual-fuel engines is highly preferred
- Experience with engine aftertreatment/emissions controls is a plus
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering is required.
- Master’s degree in Engineering is highly preferred.
