Join a supportive clinical team in Santa Rosa, CA, where you’ll work alongside board-certified sleep medicine physicians using advanced diagnostic technology to evaluate and diagnose sleep disorders in both pediatric and adult patients.
What You’ll Do
- Perform comprehensive overnight polysomnographic (sleep) studies for pediatric and adult patients.
- Prepare patients, explain testing procedures, and apply monitoring sensors and recording devices.
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced sleep diagnostic equipment.
- Monitor physiological data, sleep/wake patterns, and audio/video recordings to ensure test quality and patient safety.
- Recognize, document, and report physiological events during sleep studies.
- Provide patient education, comfort, and compassionate care throughout testing.
- Support the evaluation of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, and narcolepsy.
Required Qualifications
- Current California Polysomnographic Technologist License upon hire.
- Current RPSGT certification or CPSGT certification through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
- At least 1 year of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist.
- American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of polysomnography experience.
- Associate degree in Polysomnography.
- Membership in the Association of Polysomnographic Technologists (APT) or American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
